Happy Boxes Project
From March 1st 2021, Boho Babes will be donating $1 from every product sold that features an Aboriginal print painted by Jodie Freeman to fund the creation of Happy Boxes. There will also be an option to fund a Happy box outright to ensure more women receive these boxes of happiness and love.
What is the Happy Boxes Project?
The Happy Boxes Project focuses on sending boxes of essential toiletry and beauty products to women in remote communities.
Where does a Happy box go?
Your Happy Box may enrich a young women’s wellbeing program or be gifted at an Elder's healing circle. It may end up providing comfort to a woman at a refuge centre or land in the hands of a mum juggling a busy family. These incredible women are the matriarchs guiding and nurturing the wellbeing of their family, their community and their country and we believe they deserve to be pampered. Your Happy Box can make their day, lighten their load and perhaps give them the energy to chase a new dream. - (Info from Happy Boxes website)
What we will include in the boxes we send from Boho babes:
Essential Items: Shampoo + conditioner + soap + deodorant + sanitary items + hair brush + hair ties + toothpaste + toothbrush
Luxury Items: Nail polish + Lip balm + Candles + Face masks + Positive Affirmation Cards and an assortment of other items donated from other small businesses.
How you can help?
If you would like to get behind this project and help us to create some Happy boxes you can help by sharing our business to others who may like to purchase reusable products with Aboriginal designs. We also have the option to purchase a $20 Happy Box outright which will include all of the items above. The more money we raise, the more boxes we can create to send to those who will truly appreciate them.
We will keep a tally on this page that will be updated at the end of each month of how many Happy boxes have been funded.
